After pastoring our Lord's churches for 45
years, the Lord burdened our hearts for churches that are discouraged. We are seeing our ABA churches closing their
doors for the final time in alarming numbers. Many, many of our churches are running a fraction of the membership
they once had. They are discouraged and need to one again become energized in the work of the Lord.
STARFISH is a ministry that will use a five point program:
1.
ENCOURAGE: God is on His throne and
the Holy Spirit is still able to energize his blood bought churches. The Lord's church has every right to be ENCOURAGED.
2. EVALUATE: We want to move on the field with a church, by their invitation, and help
evaluate areas that can help them become more effective to their communities.
3. ENLIGHTEN:
We want to share with them some tools that they can use to make their church more attractive to their community.
4. ENLIST: We want to enlist the help of others. This is a big task and we have many
God called people in our work that can lend their talents to helping a church get jump-started.
5. ENERGIZE: Jesus promised the N.T. church power. Acts 1:8 We have all the energy we need through
the blessed Holy Spirit to do every thing He has called us to do.
